We’re thrilled to offer our new partners an exciting incentive to join us -- donations to our nonprofit partners. Please take a moment to read the eligibility requirements below:
Who MIGHT RECEIVE THIS Incentive?
If you:
- Were referred by a friend (specifically one of our nonprofit partner organizations)
- Saw an ad with an eligible promo code
- Received a mailer from us
...you might have received this offer.
Who is eligible for this Incentive?
Any new partner is eligible as long as they complete the following:
- Open a Walden account using an eligible promo code
- Fund it with at least $100.
Each qualified new partner (as identified by Social Security Number or Tax ID Number) is eligible for a single incentive regardless of the number of accounts they may have open. Jointly-held accounts owned by two separate partners are eligible for a single incentive, to be used jointly by the account holders. Demand deposit accounts for individuals and organizations are the only eligible account type (i.e. Local Impact CDs and loans are ineligible).
How do you use the Incentive?
There are two steps:
- Open a new account following the instructions provided. Make sure you provide the right promo code as part of your application.
- Once you've hit the 30 day mark and satisfied the qualification criteria laid out above, we'll make a donation to the nonprofit on your behalf.
Other Legal Notes
Failure by any eligible participant to satisfy any of the requirements laid out above within the incentive terms will result in ineligibility.
Multiple account opening offers cannot be combined. Incentive only available to new partners.
The value of any incentive you receive may be reported to the IRS, and you may be responsible for any applicable taxes. We recommend consulting your tax advisor if you have questions about your personal tax situation.
By participating in this referral program, you acknowledge that if you are referred by someone and successfully open and fund an account, the referring party may be notified that their referral was successful and may receive an incentive as a result. No additional personal or account information will be shared with the referring party.
We also reserve the right to exclude any participant from the incentive for any reason, including suspected fraud, misuse, or if suspicious activities are observed. The bank also reserves the right to stop or make changes to the incentive at any time.
