Renew your CD & re-pledge — sign and complete the DocuSign within 10 days of your Assabet CD’s maturity date to roll your funds into a new 12-month CD and continue supporting Assabet. (For example, if your CD matures on June 1st, you have until June 11th to sign.)
Renew your CD only — you can opt to renew your CD which will help us provide support in the local food ecosystem, but it won't be pledged specifically to support Assabet. To have your CD renew, you don’t need to take any action – your CD will automatically rollover for a new 12-month term.
Something else? If you prefer a different term length or to close your CD, you can simply tell us in your online banking under “Communications” > “Account Service Requests” > “CD Maturity Change”.

Please note: If you do not take any action, your CD will rollover for another 12 months and will not be pledged to Assabet Co-op Market.

Some Fine Print

The minimum opening deposit for our Assabet Local Impact CDs is $1,000, and the maximum amount allowed is $25,000.
As part of the Assabet CD opening process, you'll sign a pledge agreement. In signing, you're confirming your understanding that the CD is pledged as collateral for Walden Mutual's loan to the Assabet Co-op Market. In the event of a default (where the Assabet Co-op Market is unable to repay the loan), you are at risk of loss in value.
Our Assabet Local Impact CDs are set to automatically renew at maturity as unpledged Local Impact CDs of the same term. When your 12-month Assabet Local Impact CD is approaching maturity, you'll receive a notice that will provide you options - including withdrawing your funds or changing the term to a different unpledged Local Impact CD. If you take no action, your Assabet Local Impact CD will automatically renew as an unpledged 12-month Local Impact CD.
This program is available for a limited time, and will close as of August 31, 2026.
